Nos vemos en Londres (Escritorio y mesas Hille) / See you in London (Hille desk and chairs)

As some of you already know next May I will be taking part of the Kensington Dollshouse Festival. This is the first time I am attending and I am truly happy. It is an opportunity to get to know some of you personally. Of course, there you will find many of the pieces that I have been presenting on the blog so far. I hope you enjoy them live as much as in the pictures.

These are pieces that require time and dedication for their elaboration, that is why they are limited series and my stocks are always reduced. Of course I also make them to order. Do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested in any pieces.

Indeed, inspired by my participation in the event in London, I made a replica of this desk that Robin Day designed in 1950 for the English firm Hille and the stackable chairs that he created with his wife, Lucienne. Robin and Lucienne Day were a couple of designers of great interest to me who created incredible pieces, bringing light to the postwar period in Britain. They tried to give importance to the functionality, the economy of materials and productive techniques. Obtaining pieces as interesting as these, known as Hille Desk and Hillestak chairs.

Like the original, the desk has a beech frame and the floating desktop and suspended drawers are made in walnut. The chairs are also constructed with a steam bent plywood seat and back veneered in walnut.
